Standard Racking Sizes

Frame Sizes:

Most pallet racking derives from the imperial ‘foot and inches’ measuring system, and the MACRACK frame is designed in the same way using 3 inch increments (76.2mm).

Medium Galvanised

Our standard Medium Galvanised (MGAL) frame is used for most applications. It is pre-galvanised, making it rustproof, and is made to withstand daily applications. MGAL frames are perfect for applications such as Pallet Racking, Mezzanine Floors, Industrial Shelving.

Heavy Galvanised

The next grade in frames is our Heavy Galvanised (HGAL) frame. These frames are made from a thicker material that can be exposed to further stress. We generally use HGAL frames for Drive in Racking or Cantilever.

Heavy Heavy Galvanised

The Heavy Heavy Galvanised (HHGAL) frame is the most heavy-duty frame we offer. It is thicker and wider and can take an extraordinary amount of weight. We use this upright section when we need to push the limits of the engineering world, whether it be 10m high  Narrow Aisle Racking or Coil racks that take 20 Ton, we can achieve engineering greatness.

Load Beam:

The standard MACRACK beam is designed to accommodate typical pallet sizes that derive from the ‘foot and inches’ measuring system. We can also easily custom-make any length beam that suits your needs at no extra cost.

Beam Weight Load:

Beams are allocated a weight-load rating based on their specific engineering calculations. The length, profile (height and width), and material thickness of the beams are calibrated together to determine their maximum weight load. We use the term ‘Uniformly Distributed Load’ (UDL) to refer to beam weight load. This refers to the weight that a pair of beams can withstand when the weight is distributed over the whole length.
